    Digestion of foods is a process that has both physiological and chemical modifications that occur in the human body. It begins with the food entering the system, and the nutritive particles are processed. These are then taken back and circulated in the body to the relevant organs to digest the nutrients, and the waste is excreted.

    This assignment will be based on a digestion lab through the calculation of the daily caloric needs, as well as what is known as a normal caloric level. (Mackie et al., 2020). It will also show the percentage composition of daily caloric intake, the serving sizes, calories, sodium, carbohydrates, vitamins, proteins, and minerals of particular foodstuffs. These food items are also analyzed in this assignment through the packaging labels, and the advantages and disadvantages of each item are discussed.

    Calories are a measure of the energy that our bodies get out of food, and then this energy is used to carry out different functions and tasks. The average daily intake of calories should be approximately 2,000 in women and 2,500 in men (Gil et al., 2022). These measures are variable based on age, metabolism, degree of physical exercise, and the health needs of an individual.

Therefore, 5 grams of fat in 100 grams of Greek yogurt depicts a negligible amount of this amount, and therefore, Greek yogurt is quite low in fat and can be recommended to all people, especially those who are keen on their fat intake.

    The Greek yogurt also helps in consuming essential nutrients. The recommended daily intake of calcium is approximately 10 per cent, and that of iron is approximately 8 per cent. Each serving contains about 10 per cent of the recommended amount. Greek yogurt is a humble source of iron since the daily intake of iron is about 1 mg in men and 1.5 mg in women (Stoffel et al., 2020). Women require between 5-6 ounces of protein daily, depending on the amount of calories consumed, and men require 6.5-7 ounces of protein daily. Greek yogurt has 10 grams of protein per serving, which makes it a good candidate to assist in achieving these protein requirements, especially for people who desire to increase their protein intake but do not want to consume many calories and fat.

    Label distortion involves the misrepresentation of the packaging of food products to the consumer in terms of contents, size, or weight of the food product. Besides resulting in poor public health, this question has an impact on customer relations and can also damage the reputation of a firm. Any statement on the packet of Greek yogurt that less sugar or a higher quantity of protein is in the product than the truth is deceiving the consumer who is aware of the nutritional value he is taking.
