Introduction

I have completed the 50 practicum hours needed in this course in one of the hospitals in the United States. These hours were fulfilled according to the practicum requirements of Capella University, where all the activities were done besides the paid employment duties. The practicum experience was a chance to develop my clinical competencies and increase my professional knowledge and theory implementation in a real healthcare situation.

The practicum experience provided me with various activities that helped me in my growth as a healthcare professional. To learn more about clinical decision-making activities, I observed patient care delivery, engaged in interdisciplinary discussions, and reviewed patient cases. The activities involved in the evidence-based practice I also conducted assessed the actual clinical guidelines, as well as their application in patient care facilities. These experiences enhanced my capability to relate academic knowledge to practice.

Also, practicum enabled me to get a closer insight into the workings of a hospital in terms of workflow operations, safety precautions, and quality improvement programs. I have seen the importance of communication and teamwork in helping to achieve positive patient outcomes. The given experience also helped to increase my confidence during communication with healthcare professionals and strengthen the importance of teamwork in complex clinical situations.

The practicum hours were all properly registered and uploaded to the Capella Academic Portal (CAP). Supporting documentation was put up to confirm completion, and a screenshot of the recorded hours has been attached to this submission as needed. This will make certain that the course expectation is met with regard to tracking and documentation of practicum hours.

All in all, I have found these 50 practicum hours to be a very enriching and significant process. It has enabled my clinical insight, enhanced my professional skills, and equipped me for further development of my nursing career. The practicum has strengthened my determination to provide high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care in my future practice.
