    Environmental and Epidemiological Data

    The prevalence of Non-Hispanic Afro-American Obesity is a significant population health issue, as more than 49.9 percent of the adult population is obese, as compared to the national statistics of 41.9% (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2024). The situation is influenced more by the increase of food insecurity, when 19.3% of the residents live in the area without proper access to healthy and affordable food products, unlike the national prevalence of 10.5% (Feeding America, 2024).

    The sources utilized in this paper are credible secondary information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and scholarly research papers. A different meta-synthesis study by Aldaz et al. (2022) determined the connection between food insecurity and obesity and the built environment. They highlight obesity as a major area of concern in health disparities in Jacksonville and determine that the predisposing factors of the environment and social settings are potential areas for prevention initiatives.

    An Ethical Health Improvement Plan

    As the prevalence of obesity among Non-Hispanic Afro-American is high, the ethical and viable population health change initiative consists of three interventions, namely, raising the availability of healthful foods, fostering physical activity, and improving health literacy. Mobile markets are one of the strategies that focus on food-insecure and food desert neighborhoods in order to offer fresh fruits and vegetables to the intended communities through local farmers and nonprofit organizations (Hammon and Goralnik, 2024). The plan also includes exercises that are free in the air, like aerobics, Zumba, yoga, and walking clubs in parks, as well as conveniently available green areas. They are planned and enforced to provide alternatives for improved life, empower individuals, and motivate them to concentrate on a healthier lifestyle in the communities.

They are non-invasive, physical, and quality improvement-oriented.

    The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is the stakeholder that can be approached to assist in implementing the population health improvement plan among the Non Hispanic Afro-Americans. As an organization in the community that has existed over a relatively long period, and with the main mission of empowering the marginalized groups that comprise the Black and Hispanic communities, The 100 Black Men of America, Inc., will be an ideal partner in outreach, education, and engagement (The 100 Black Men of America, Inc, 2025).

    They also possess better customer relationships with customers who frequent these community health workers, hence are helpful when it comes to mobilizing the people to visit mobile farmers markets, fitness, and nutritional education classes. The 100 Black Men of America, Inc stands out the most due to its multicultural focus, which is the most timely consideration given the multicultural population with significant interest in African American, Hispanic, and Haitian patients.

    The other ones are the local healthcare systems, schools, corporations, Duval County Health Department, park and recreation departments of the local government, grocery stores, and faith institutions (Petkovic et al., 2023). To deal with this inclusiveness, information relayed will be translated to Spanish and Haitian Creole to ensure the people of these origins can understand it as well, and documents will be typed in both braille and large fonts to accommodate them (Khatri et al., 2025).

    Furthermore, the privacy of the data will not be compromised via informed consent on data collection and data protection policies, and their use by any technology during the implementation of the program.
