Hello, I am called __. This is a presentation on my personal evaluation of leadership. Today I would like to discuss the aspects of leadership as presented by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and this is my case. I will also look at what my strengths and weaknesses are.

Leadership in healthcare is not an easy task, as a leader should be aware of himself or herself before he or she leads others. People cannot lead others without being familiar with their strengths and weaknesses. Leadership is visionary, introducing change, and inspiring others, whereas management entails bringing order and equilibrium through a systematic way (Obeng et al., 2025).

It is always important to know what you are capable of doing; this will enable one to know his or her strengths and weaknesses. These areas of leadership within the ACHE are important as they will allow an individual to develop his or her expertise in many areas, hence assisting him/her in his leadership journey. This presentation will discuss the areas of leadership in ACHE, leadership values in healthcare, and my areas of strength, weaknesses, and areas to work on.

ACHE Leadership Domains

According to the ACHE leadership paradigm, there are five domains that are indispensable in leadership in healthcare organizations. The initial one is relationship management and communication. This entails developing trust, encouraging collaboration, and dialogue. Secondly, there is leadership, which entails leading and inspiring people or groups towards a common objective. Thirdly, there is professionalism, which assumes integrity in behavior, integrity, and transparency in any given situation.

Fourthly is the awareness of health care setting. It integrates the data on the healthcare systems, policies, practices, and standards (Ludușanu et al., 2025). Lastly, business skills and knowledge refer to those skills and knowledge that involve the handling of finances, resources, budget preparations, and decision-making at healthcare organizations.

Leadership Qualities Needed in Healthcare

There are a great number of skills that a healthcare leader should have to succeed in his/her work. These skills include ethical integrity, ethical decision-making skills, good communication skills, critical thinking skills, collaborative skills, and flexibility. These skills play a crucial role in promoting patient safety, better collaboration between healthcare providers, and work environment. These features are vital in promoting confidence between patients and healthcare specialists, developing communication in the healthcare setting, and increasing adaptability to changes within the organization.

My Leadership Strength and Weakness

One of my best leadership skills is communicating and managing relationships. I can build productive relationships, listen to others, and express my thoughts.This means that I can benefit from positive teamworking, positive collaboration, and a positive work environment, which is connected to the area of communication in ACHE. Nevertheless, I believe that I should practice my business skills and knowledge, especially in such aspects as budgeting, financial planning, and resources (Bouzari et al., 2023).

I believe that it will be valuable in assisting me in making decisions that are cost-effective and aid in achieving organizational objectives. I thus believe that I have to do something on this aspect to increase my confidence in my ability to deal with leadership responsibilities, which is connected to business in ACHE.

Strategy to Strengthen My Strengths and Improve Weaknesses

To further develop my competencies in this field, I have set it as one of my goals to participate in training programs in the field of communication and leadership. This will aid me in becoming a more confident leader. The feedback will be useful in my self-enhancement as it will allow me to become more efficient in terms of personal development by enhancing my abilities in communication with others (Stoyanova & Stoyanov, 2025). To improve my weaknesses in my skills and knowledge about business, I have decided to participate in different training programs in the field of healthcare finance and management.

I have also made plans to monitor other leaders who are professionals in managing the budget of an organization. Additionally, I have also decided to participate in several committees that are concerned with making financial decisions. This will assist me in getting better informed in this field. Through this, I will be able to enhance my skills to become more knowledgeable. This will assist me in being more assured in making informed decisions. This will help me become more confident as a leader. This will help in my future development as a leader.

The domains of leadership in the ACHA are a great example to learn and acquire valuable skills in healthcare leadership. So, after self-reflection, I have found that my strength lies in communication, and I need to concentrate on my knowledge in business. By effectively utilizing some strategies to improve, I will be able to enhance my communication skills even further and gain more confidence in making business decisions. To sum up, this self-reflection has enabled me to be more conscious of myself and has reinforced my resolve to pursue self-development.
