    Situation: Domestic violence is practiced all over the world. According to the estimates given by the World Health Organization (2021), one out of five women aged 15 years and above has either had domestic violence at some point in her life.

    Violence can be rewarded by the use of operant conditioning, and in that case, can be reinforced and repeated. When one person has applied violence, and it brings about obedience, or he has to avoid confrontation, he can redo it. It comes to a habit of accomplishing their goals.

    Describe observational or social learning (Chapter 5).

    The process of social learning involves acquiring behaviors through observation and reproduction on the basis of the behavior of other people in the social environment. This is influenced by observing the consequences of the behaviors of others, either the parents or the peers, and their consequences.

    Describe how social learning might work with violence as a learned behavior.

    The social learning theory holds that children who observe domestic violence as a type of behavior may later develop the idea of viewing it as a normal behavior. They may later on repeat this behavior in their own relationships, depending on what they observe within the various environments.
